Vermont at Gettysburg

Vermont was represented at Gettysburg by over 4,400 men in nine infantry and one cavalry regiments, of whom 415 became casualties. Vermont was unusual in having two all-Vermont brigades at Gettysburg, as well as a cavalry regiment and three companies of sharpshooters.
