Doubleday Avenue

Doubleday Avenue is northwest of Gettysburg. It starts in at Mummasburg Road as a continuation of North Confederate Avenue and heads south past a dozen monuments and markers and the statue to General Robinson before turning west and becoming Wadsworth Avenue, which connects with Buford Avenue and Reynolds Avenue.
The monuments of Doubleday Avenue at Gettysburg

Robinson Avenue is a branch off Doubleday Avenue dropping down the steep hill to Mummasburg Road, starting at General Robinson's statue and passing two more monuments and a headquarters marker.

 

A small parking area is available between Mummasburg Road and Robinson Avenue. It is adacent to the observation tower, which provides a good view not only of the 1st Corps battleline on Oak Ridge but also the 11th Corps battleground in the valley to the east.
