Rhode Island at Gettysburg

Rhode Island was represented at Gettysburg by almost 1,000 men in an infantry regiment and five artillery batteries. There are only four monuments to Rhode Island units, as Batteries C and G of the 1st Rhode Island Artillery were in reserve with the Sixth Corps and did not erect monuments on the battlefield.
