Sixty eight regiments of Pennsylvania Infantry and one of miliita are honored by monuments on the Gettysburg battlefield. Several have more than one monument. The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania made funds available in 1889 to erect monuments on Civil War battlefields, and a number of units that had already put up monuments using their own funds used the money to erect a second (and usually bigger and better) monument.
Each link goes to the page(s) for that regiment and its monument(s).
Pennsylvania Artillery and Cavalry monuments are listed on another page. |
