Monument to the 6th Ohio Cavalry Regiment at Gettysburg

Photo of the monument to the 6th Ohio Cavalry Regiment at Gettysburg

Looking west at the monument to the Sixth Ohio Cavalry at the corner of Taneytown Road and Pleasonton Avenue. Behind the monument two 3 inch Ordnance Rifles flank the monument to Batteries B&L Consolidated, Second United States Artillery, and the headquarters marker for the First Horse Artillery Brigade of the Cavalry Corps. The picket fence of the Jacob Hummelbaugh Farm is at the right edge of the photo. The brick building on the left is owned by the park service and houses the workshops where the monuments and artillery pieces of the park are maintained and repaired.
