Ohio at the Battle of Gettysburg

The State of Ohio sent over 309,000 men to the Union Army during the Civil War. Most fought in the Western Theater. Around 4,400 men from Ohio were at Gettysburg, in 13 infantry regiments, two companies of cavalry and four artillery batteries.
