60th New York Infantry Regiment
"Union Guards"

The monument to the 60th New York Infantry Regiment (top and center right) and a company marker (bottom right) are southeast of Gettysburg on Culp's Hill, on the trail from the summit down the southeast slope. (see map)

The 60th New York was commanded at the Battle of Gettysburg by Colonel Abel Godard. It brought 273 men to the field, losing 11 killed and 41 wounded.
