Minnesota at the Battle of Gettysburg

Minnesota sent over 24,000 men to the Union Army in the Civil War, but most fought in the Western Theater. Only one Minnesota infantry regiment fought in the Battle of Gettysburg, but it did its fair share and more. Of its 378 men engaged, 224 became casualties. This was almost 60%, the highest of any Union state.
