Michigan at Gettysburg

Michigan was represented at Gettysburg by seven infantry regiments, four cavalry regiments, an artillery battery and four companies of sharpshooters: over 2,600 men actually engaged. Of these, 1,111 became casualties - almost 42%, the third highest rate of any Union state.
