3rd Maryland Infantry Regiment

The monument to the Third Maryland Infantry is south of Gettysburg on Culp's Hill. (See map) It was dedicated in 1888 by the State of Maryland.

The regiment brought 278 men to the field. It is also honored by a monument and marker at Antietam.
