11th Massachusetts Infantry Regiment
The monument to the Eleventh Massachusetts Infantry Regiment is south of Gettysburg at the intersection of Sickles Avenue and Emmitsburg road. It was dedicated in 1885 by the State of Massachusetts.

This monument was one of three badly damaged by vandals in the winter of 2006. The arm at the top of the monument originally held a saber.
The Eleventh Massachusetts Infantry was commanded at the Battle of Gettysburg by Lieutenant Colonel Porter D. Tripp. It brought 364 men to the field and lost 23 killed, 96 wounded and 10 missing. It was part of 3rd Corps, 2nd Division, 1st Brigade.
