Massachusetts at the Battle of Gettysburg

Massachusetts provided over 125,000 men to the Union Army during the Civil War. Almost 5,800 fought in the Battle of Gettysburg, organized into eighteen infantry and one cavalry regiments, two companies of sharpshooters, and four batteries of light artillery. Each is represented by its own monument on the Gettysburg battlefield.
